Approval of minutes: Motion was made, and seconded to approve the minutes of the Apr 7, 2015 meeting. Motion Carried

Officers' reports:  Commander .We had a field clean up with a good attendance. Got the road cleaned, the stands up, field mowed and planted the extension to the runway. If you missed this we will be having another work detail later in the summer. We need to replace the posts on the shelter one at a time. The field is looking good, but still a little wet on the west end, but not too bad. We are going to save $500 this year by not paying for rolling the field. Instead we will use out own roller. It the field needs more than that, we can pay to have it done. People are looking at the Ford tractor but it is not sold yet. Got a phone call from the Park Board asking for information concerning quads. They are having a huge problem at some of the other parks. Anyone can buy one and fly without any concern about other persons at around. He said we do not allow any first person view flying and quads must obey same field rules for any other aircraft. Tom turned them on to the AMA to see if there is anything that can be done. There was much information given here, but is not included these minutes. However if we see anyone at our field flying a quad that is not a member of the club or AMA they must be told they cannot fly there. The Park System lets us police the field. 

Vice Commander April and Jim went to Muncie a couple of week back for an IMAC event. This is the largest group of people(around 45) interested in getting into the IMAC. They did stress noise abatement there. They said to “Spend the money and get your plane quiet. IMAC stands for International Miniature Aerobatic Club. It is a club that features precision aerobatics. You can fly any plane in the basic classification, but above that scale planes are required. If you want improve your flying skills join the IMAC as they teach you in depth maneuvers. A question was raised about noise. We do not have any written rules and it is better that we don’t. If we have something in writing that could indicate to the wrong people that we have a noise issue. We do have a noise meter but for the most part it is not used. Basically we self-police this issue. If we feel someone’s plane is on the loud side we tell them. 

Training Tomorrow is the big day to start training at 5:00 PM sharp. Scott will send out an email to those on the training list. If you are not signed up for training, contact Scott Arnett. A discussion was presented about purchasing training cables for the Tactic radios. This will be pursued and the proper cables purchased. 
